  • My first name is actually John, but I've gone by Scott all my life.
  • I started in the video industry in 1983, spending the majority of my career working for Community Television for nearly 32 years. During this time, I was proclaimed an Honorary Citizen for my volunteer video work promoting a city and its events.
  • I’ll take the road less traveled just to explore and see places I’ve never been.
  • I enjoy nature, especially the ocean, well-crafted beer, cooking and experiencing new foods, photography and many types of music.

  • My career spans over three decades, spawning many professional relationships.
  • My personal life reflects the excitement I gain during production. Long distance bicycling and discovering new places and trails describe my leisure time.
  • Learning new and challenging recipes created by Master Chef Bobby Flay grows my competence.
  • Over the years and through the Arts I’ve expanded my tastes in music from the diverse spectrum, and also have built a huge movie collection of which I’m very proud.

  • My first exposure to community TV was "Newsroom 6" in Walnut Creek, as a sixth grader.
  • With my ROP Video Occupations certificate and my first demo-reel, right out of high school I started my career, right there in Walnut Creek (in the very same studio!)
  •  I've always loved playing with expensive toys and meeting great people in Community Media.
  • I did a stint at a San Francisco based Broadcast Television Station, producing a Dance Party show, but luckily, that party ended.
  • My true calling remains at the local level and I've helped build the  County Television Station to what it is today.

  • I started my camera operator career at age 14 when I found my dad's 8mm film camera and recorded the dog show in Oakland CA.
  • Years later I found out recording dachshunds is the same as recording people, but dogs don't have to sign releases nor do they hound you about when it will be on TV.
  • Now that I'm retired, I'm looking for fun dachshunds again. The camera was my career, now filmmaking is my hobby and my passion.
  • I can't physically do what I used to do with a camera, but as a producer I can yell and point better than ever.

Randy was the front man behind the original team.  Randy left the project in December 2021 due to personal reasons.  Our goal is to keep Randy's dream alive and eventually tell his story.  We wish the best for Randy.

  • I graduated from Antioch High School in 1983.
  • I learned much of my craft through a local Community Access Channel.
  • I didn’t know one could make a living in TV until  later in life, going to a local Junior College, doing an internship at a Bay Area TV station, and graduating in 2002 with my Broadcast in Communication Arts degree.
  • I moved to Reno that year with my first job at a broadcast TV Station.
  • I have recently discovered podcasting, which is very fun and I always enjoy watching movies. It's something I have done since I was a kid with my mom. I enjoy talking about movies with both my kids.

Scott was one of the five original team members.

Sadly, Scott passed away early March 2022.  Scott will be deeply missed.  Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
